DECEMBER THOUGHTS

This month's newsletter is a bit shorter than usual. I hope you use the few minutes extra time you WON'T spend reading this email to think about something nice you can do for yourself this upcoming year - perhaps take a class, spend more time with your children, take an extra day or week of vacation, or volunteer one day a month.

Do something now that (if you don't do it) you will regret not doing 20 years from now.  Does that make any sense at all?

LET IT SNOW! - HOLIDAY SHOPPING 2003 RESCHEDULED!

Who would have thought that for the second year in a row we would have a major snowstorm on Dec. 5th. It sure did have an impact on our Holiday Shopping Day set for that evening!

In response, many of the stores will be staying open this Friday – Dec. 12th. Some shops will be serving refreshments too!

Please come out and support the local businesses. Use your coupon books! If you did not get one, you can still download coupons for the individual stores. The coupon information is also located at the Holiday Shopping link (above.)

THE POWER OF GIVING RESULTS

On Wed. Dec 3rd we had at least 30 or more people show up for our First Annual Heartfelt Giving event at Variété in New Hope. Greg Conocchioli was our gracious and generous host. He proffered luscious hors d’oeuvres and delectable wines. It was a lovely party and we raised almost $500 in addition to a garage full of gifts and merchandise.

Later this week, my husband, George, and I will be dividing up the products so we can distribute them to the receiving non-profit organizations: Fisherman’s Mark, a Woman’s Place, and the Women’s Crisis Center.

Many thanks to all who came to the party and donated so much that made the evening a resounding success!

Mark your calendars for next year’s even bigger event!
