CHANGES

Change can be difficult even if the end result is ultimately for the good of all.

Well, my life, like the state of our country, is changing a bunch. Those of you closest to me already know that George (my husband of nine years) and I will be divorcing within the next months. Although I know that, in the long run, this decision is probably the best thing for both of us, I still have many moments of sadness and concern.

The good news is that George and I are approaching this in a very civil and amiable fashion. Hard as that may be for some people to understand (sometimes me included) it makes day to day living so much more bearable, especially since we both still reside in the same house.

Emotionally I feel like all the aspects of my life are like a tinker toy structure that has been dismantled and that the pieces have been scattered helter skelter, ready for me to build into new patterns. My hope, dream, and intention is that the new structure is stronger than the original, yet somehow more open to incorporating new wonders and adventures into the overall design - a life sculpture in the making.

I ask for you to send good thoughts and/or prayers, not only for George and I, but for everyone who is dealing with all of the enormous changes taking place in the United States and throughout the world.

A positive attitude can manifest miracles in one's life. Millions of positive attitudes can alter the course of history.

NEWS ON THE NEW NEWS

In the next newsletter I will be able to formally announce the new Calendar of Events look. I decided not to use the new logo yet. I spent the good part of a day working on the template layout and realized that I am going to have to redesign everything in order to incorporate the new logo. Rather, I want to move forward with the practical stuff first. So, calendar changes coming up.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to recognize how important a comprehensive calendar is for our community. A woman called me looking for information on Things to Do in the New Hope area. She is bringing a tour group here one day in October. She was frustrated having to check so many different websites for general information on local activities. I looked at my own website and realized that I have not updated the To Do section for some time.

Time for me to get busy with that! AND, with the new Calendar of Events section in place, I hope it will be easier for people to find what they need.

Fingers crossed everyone. On the count of 3 ....
