Rain, rain, go away, come again.....

Remember that little ditty from our childhood? How many of you have been humming it this past month? During the 20 years I have lived in this area, I can't remember a time when it has rained so much for such a long period of time.

Yet. despite all the rain, it looks like the building in Union Square WILL be ready for the June 14th Sculpture Project opening - set for 7:00 PM. Throughout this newsletter are photos of some of the outdoor sculptures. Please plan to come to New Hope and Lambertville soon to see the sculptures and to visit all the stores and shops that have been missing you…..

Special Note: This month's newsletter is dedicated to 48 year-old New Hope resident Hardy Bush who died of a heart attack June 3rd. Hardy was well known for his long-time service on the New Hope Solebury school board and for his dedication to serving the community through his many volunteer efforts. We offer sincere condolences to Hardy's wife, K.K. and their two children, Lauren and Carter.

Website Changes

In an effort to make the website even MORE community friendly, I am planning some changes to the site - possibly as early as next month.

To accomplish all of this, I am NOW officially seeking people to help me with the website - no cash involved, but lots of visibility!!!! If you know of someone who might be interested, please contact editor@newhopepennsylvania.com.

The MILES OF MULES have also arrived and can be found in various locations around town.

4th of July Celebration - The New Hope Independent Merchants Association and the New Hope Chamber of Commerce are teaming up to bring you a great 4th of July. Check back on our site for more information later this month.

June 22, Revolution on the River in Lambertville. Celebration of the 225th anniversary of the historic river crossing by General Washington & the Continental army on their way to winning the pivotal Battle of Monmouth. Read more about this event at What's New.

Local Color This month - none other than our very own Marty Luther of Dresswell's in Lambertville. You may have met him when you stopped by his store to purchase tickets for a local event!

Art & Artists Decorative painter Nancy Edwards is camera shy but not sure why! Her beautiful painted children's furniture has been making children and adults alike happy for many years!

Around Town There have been sooo many wonderful changes taking place in New Hope over the past two years. Read about what the Revitalization Committee has been up to.

Theater & Music A new Theater in L'il Ole New Hope!?!?! Yes! The Bridge Theater Company is here - with a scheduled debut date of July 11th. Read what founder Brett Marston has created here.
