SIMPLIFY

In my last email I mentioned how I love the simplicity of Maine. Of course, I am generalizing - I am familiar with only a few coastal places in Maine and can speak exclusively from an outsider's perspective. I am sure Mainers have the same work and stress related issues we have down here. However, I think anyone who visits ANYWHERE in Maine WILL agree that the pace of life is slower there.

That is what I am trying to accomplish here with my life in New Hope, PA. It isn't always easy and I have been working on it for years. Here are some of the things I have been working on:

  • Getting rid of clutter in my home. Slowly but surely, one area at a time, I am getting there. The basement is the next really, really, REALLY big project! (Who remembers Ed Sullivan? Didn't he always say "Really, really big show!"?)
  • Finishing incompletions. I can remember about four or so years ago when my "To Do" list filled two full pages of a yellow 8.5" x 11" notepad. It has slowly shrunk to a manageable size -only half of a page.
  • Saying NO to new projects that don't support my goals. Unfortunately, this means saying NO to many local volunteer efforts. This doesn't mean that I am not still involved in the community - I am just being more discerning in my choices and only committing to what I know I can really do without undermining my own projects.
  • Accepting what is and being OK with it. There are many things in my life that I cannot change or even influence. Accepting this and just moving forward one step at a time really makes life less stressful.

THINK T-SHIRTS

OK, here you go.... I need your input on this. I have a new logo for I Love New Hope / I Love Lambertville - jointly created by my new business partner, Dr. Catalina Smith, and I.

In addition to adding the new logo to the website, we plan to have it printed on t-shirts and, possibly, doggie shirts. What do you think?

If you cannot see the image embedded in this newsletter, please go to www.ILoveNewHope.com and check it out on the home page. If you feel so moved, please email editor@bullockmarketing.com to let me know your thoughts.
