HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! I hope you all had a safe and enjoyable New Year's celebration. George and I stayed in and enjoyed a relaxing evening together - either we are getting OLD or getting SMART - you tell me! ___________ I am so embarrassed. I had meant this month to spotlight the first Algonquin Indiefest Film Festival!! So, let me note it here so that you all know about this unique event. The event is scheduled for Jan. 25 & 26. Sat events take place at the Best Western Hotel in New Hope. Sun events are at Artsbridge in Lambertville, NJ. ___________ Don't forget the the Lambertville/New Hope Winter Festival coming up on Feb. 7-9. Annie Haslam is performing on the 7th and there are all kinds of family activities planned throughout the entire weekend. If you attend the Chili Cook-off at the Riverhorse Brewery and you see me there (5'4", short blond hair standing next to a handsome 6'1" bald man), make sure you say "Hi" and let me know you read my newsletter. Brochures for the Winter Festival are available in stores, restaurants, & B&Bs around town. Visit the website www.winterfestival.net for more information. ___________ There's lots of things going on in town. Visit What's New for a listing of events. ___________ Local Color - I met local personality Ann Liebgold through the New Hope Historical Society and was impressed with her dedication and attention to detail. Art & Artists - Suzanne Douglass is a wonderful person and a beautiful artist - or is it the other way around. I am sure that you will love her as much as I do. Around Town - The Writers Room is a wonderful new organization that benefits everyone in our area. Writers meet regularly to chat with colleagues and the general public is invited to attend the seminars and salons! Theater
& Music - Bob Miles hosts the ONLY guitar show of its kind
in the WORLD. Even Nashville has picked up his cable TV show.
